Eric R. Shantzer, DDS

Eric R. Shantzer, DDS is a highly educated dental provider focusing on general dentistry and cosmetic dentistry. Patients of all ages in Richboro, Pennsylvania, and the surrounding areas, can visit Dr. Shantzer at Richboro Dental Excellence for their oral health needs. His areas of specialty include, but are not limited to, dental implants, crowns (caps) and bridges, Laser dentistry, Invisalign®, Braces, and Oral Appliance Therapy for Sleep Apnea, smile makeovers, and cosmetic dentistry.

Dr. Shantzer believes that embracing technology improves the patient experience greatly and yields higher quality dental work. He continually updates his education in all areas of dentistry and has lately completed courses on implant dentistry; computer-guided implant placement, Invisalign®, Propel orthodontic acceleration, oral appliance therapy for the treatment of sleep apnea, and laser dentistry. He believes that Richboro Dental Excellence should be where teeth and technology meet. His patients are his number one priority, after his family, and giving his patients the highest quality care.

Dr. Shantzer and his wife Randee have been happily married since he graduated from dental school in 1982. They have two children. Their son is a tax lawyer on the west coast and their daughter is a physician in her residency training. They also have a dog named Jake. Dr. Shantzer’s time outside the office is spent woodworking, boating, playing golf, doing construction, and radio control modeling. He is also very interested in all forms of technology including computers, both hardware, software, and 3D printing.

Jalol Nur, DMD

Dr. Jalol Nur attended Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry where he earned a Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD). Prior and during dental school Dr. Nur continued actively participate in Dental Technology - Dental Lab aspect of dentistry. Particularly he excelled in CAD/CAM (Computer Aided Design and Manufacturing) Dentistry which was just a new avenue at the time and main roadway of dentistry nowadays.

Dr. Nur is a young, energetic, and ever-improving addition to our team who strives for excellence in care. His background in dental technology enables him to see both sides of the story while supervising your care.

When asked about the reason for him becoming a dentist he says:
"It always has been my passion to make things with my own hands. I discovered dentistry to be a field where I can quench my love for helping people, craft smiles, and in all of this use the latest technology. Though a recent graduate from Temple Dental, my involvement in the design and making of smiles in dentistry goes many years back. Constant involvement with the latest trainings and continuing education on dentistry helps me to keep my knowledge and skills sharp to deliver the smile you desire."

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Nur enjoys the outdoors, and travel and is an avid follower of the Formula One race series. He fluently speaks Russian, Uzbeki, and English and is in the process of picking up Spanish.

Dr. Amy Malakoff-Kane, DMD

Dr. Malakoff-Kane is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. She completed a General Practice Residency program at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago, IL. Dr. Malakoff-Kane enjoys all facets of dentistry and keeps up to date with all the latest technologies and techniques. Dr. Malakoff-Kane is certified in botulinum toxin placement for both facial esthetics and pain treatment through the American Academy of Facial Esthetics (AAFE).
